Seane Corn is an internationally renowned vinyasa flow yoga teacher and spiritual activist. Her teachings are about using vinyasa flow yoga as a tool for self-empowerment and actualization. Featured in commercials and magazines and on and named the National Yoga Ambassador for YouthAIDS in 2005, Seane now utilizes her national platform to bring awareness to global humanitarian issues. Since 2007, she has been training leaders of activism through her cofounded organization Off the Mat, Into the World. Seane is also cofounder of the Seva Challenge Humanitarian Tours, which encourage everyday people and yoga teachers to get involved in fund- and awareness-raising efforts across the globe. This teacher training intensive will go deeper into the process of teaching, exploring the subtle physical and spiritual energies involved in finding one’s own unique self expression, and facilitating transformational journey work for our students. This is about cultivating your personal strengths as a teacher, developing a strong and confident voice, and learning how to turn a simple class into a soul-inspiring experience. Many teachers are taught the mechanics of teaching: alignment, sequencing, asanas, pranayama, meditation, the facts and rich history of yoga, yet are left yearning for a way to bring their students into a place of deep surrender, prayer, and intentional energetic shifts. "Holding space" for transformation requires a deep commitment to the inner journey of spirit, compassion, courage, and a willingness to articulate of the complexities of the human experience and the beauty of the souls journey within. With Seane’s guidance, we’ll explore how to invite "God" into the body/mind experience, incorporate ritual, and how to speak from your heart as a way to inspire, inform, and motivate the class. Learn when is the appropriate time to communicate, the mechanics of structuring a class (both practically and metaphysically), and the power, and challenges, of introducing prayer. This intensive will ultimately shed light on just how powerful and inspirational YOU can be and offer tools on how to share your unique self-expression with your students.

No two bodies on earth are alike, yet we sometimes get the message that yoga is only for certain bodies. In this class, we will explore yoga as the art form and tool it truly is, from all levels and angles. In a supportive, non-competitive environment, learn the foundation of a solid practice through alignment, core awareness and breathing techniques, including the basic principles of sun salutes A and B and how this is the cornerstone of every vinyasa practice. Also discussed will be the preparation, inner queues and dissection of the fundamentals of standing poses, backbends, twists and inversions. Through patience, compassion and awareness - yoga truly comes from the inside out.

Chakra Yoga: Exploring the Mind-Body-Heart Connection

We'll journey through the chakras (or energy centers of the body) and explore their physiological and psychological aspects. Through movement, breath, visualization, intention, and prayer we can gain insight on how these energy centers, when blocked, can affect our physical health and emotional clarity. This class offers a glimpse into the possibilities of personal transformation through wisdom, self-responsibility and forgiveness. Transformation begins when we understand there is no separation between the mind, heart, body and spirit--appreciating the inter-dependency of all moments, great and small, light and dark as whole and sacred.

Detox Flow Yoga

This unique and challenging class explores how making conscious and responsible choices can help purify our body and mind, supporting optimal health. We will focus on cleansing the vital organs through a special vinyasa sequence that utilizes three internal components-compression, decompression and twists-to stimulate the purification process within the body. This class includes sun-salutes A and B, a detox standing pose sequence, breathing exercises and meditation.

Come explore the Three Realms of Consciousness--the physical/mental, the energetic/emotional, and the psychic/symbolic. These three realms create a holistic pathway for self-investigation: the key for personal transcendence. Through the practice of vinyasa flow yoga, we'll go on a ritualistic journey initiating the mystical into to the practical, bonding body, mind, and Spirit. Through the integration of asana, proper breathing techniques, and conscious intention, learn how to experience the creative and powerful practice of vinyasa flow as a devotional expression of life--beyond the body.
