The Yoga Slackers - Course ID: M3SLAK

Friday, October 2 — 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Weekend Classes
Mixed Levels

Slackline yoga, or Slackasana, is a moving meditation that teaches complete body awareness and will redefine your sense of balance and mental focus. This joyful practice involves balancing on a one-inch wide "yoga mat" (aka a slackline). Come learn the basics of the Slackasana series, which includes standing (commitment), kneeling (core strength), sitting (focus), and arm balancing (breath). Slacklining is great way to take your practice to a new level. Yogis, climbers, couch potatoes, and athletes of all kinds will find a new sense of balance and exploration. We'll include exercises for more seasoned slackers to expand their comfort zone on the line.

Slackro: Slacklining and Acrobatics
The Yoga Slackers - Course ID: M6SLAK

Saturday, October 3 — 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Weekend Classes
Mixed Levels

Come explore your perceived limits of what is possible on a mat, a slackline, and a person. Drawing on yoga, slacklining, and acrobatics, first we'll explore the art of inversions and dynamic balance. From there, we'll begin the journey in earnest as we transition back and forth between acrobatics and slacklining. The practice will focus on learning how to use each other and the line to experience a whole spectrum of asanas that will help increase our sense of balance while maintaining our playful nature. Get ready to practice yoga without touching the ground!

No experience necessary, but experience with some body-awareness practice (climbing, vinyasa yoga, dance, or the like) recommended.
