Yoga and Rock Climbing
Instructor: Jason Magness
8:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday code: WEMAGN
Thursday code: THMAGN
mixed levels

Push beyond your boundaries and explore the world at the edge of gravity as you experience the beautiful realm of "vertical yoga." We'll start with a morning asana practice; then we'll relocate to a nearby cliff for a day of rock climbing. As dusk approaches, we'll finish with a short session of introspective yoga and meditation outdoors.

No experience is necessary, although you should be in good general health. All equipment and a bag lunch will be provided. Be prepared for various weather conditions and bring good hiking shoes. All climbers must sign a release-of-liability waiver.

The Discipline Series
Instructor: Jason Magness
Friday, September 25
8:00am - 10:00am: Main Conference: Session 1
Code: M1MAGN
intermediate

Drawing heavily from the first, second, and third series of Ashtanga Yoga, the Discipline Series is designed to be an intense but approachable vinyasa sequence without all the "jump throughs" of traditional Ashtanga. Perfect for athletes wanting to incorporate yoga into their own regime or yogis wanting to build endurance with their practice. Mostly asana.

Yoga on the Slackline
Instructor: Jason Magness
Friday, September 25
3:30pm - 5:30pm: Main Conference: Session 3
Code: M3MAGN
mixed levels

Doing yoga on a slackline (essentially a slightly elastic tightrope) has been described as "distilling the essence of yogic concentration." Slacklining can be learned through perseverance- and added to your yoga practice. Learn all the basics needed to get started. Mostly practice.

Gravity as Guru
Instructor: Jason Magness
Saturday, September 26
8:00am - 10:00am: Main Conference: Session 4
Code: M4MAGN
INTERMEDIATE, advanced

The ancient yogis gleaned much of their practices from looking toward nature and then emulating it. We'll return to this with an intense practice that includes inversions, balancing, backbending, vinyasa, and lots of fun. Participants must be able to do Urdhva Dhanurasana, Headstand, Shoulderstand, and Handstand at the wall. Mostly asana.

Developing a Personal Practice
Instructor: Jason Magness
Saturday, September 26
11:00am - 1:00pm: Main Conference: Session 5b
Code: M5MAGN
mixed levels

Maintaining a personal practice is the most important thing that any yoga student can do. Through anecdotes, personal insight, and sample practices, you'll get set on your way to a dynamic, challenging, and sustaining home practice. Discussion and asana.
