View your practice from a teacher's perspective. Develop an eye for alignment and energy flow in the asanas through hands-on adjusting techniques and partner work. In Ashtanga Yoga, the mantra is the sound of our breath, or ujjayi. We'll focus on the mantra of ujjayi within asana practice as well as during pranayama, and explore the invisible world of the bandhas. Come gain a greater understanding of these subtle yet powerful tools. Mostly asana.

Everything around us is composed of opposing forces. If we inhale, we must also exhale. To go up, we must also move down. We'll look at methods of creating a balance between opposing forces as well as the benefit of facilitating length within the spine during practice. Mostly asana.

One of the greatest challenges of Ashtanga flow is vinyasa. Learn to break vinyasa down into its components as we explore the elements of Handstands and Arm Balances through the avenue of partner work. All levels may attend, even if you have never done a Handstand before- alternatives are always given. Mostly asana.
