About the teacher: Andrew Tanner, E-RYT 500 and Yoga Alliance Chief Ambassador, has experienced every facet of the yoga multiverse. From spending 4 years in a commune-esque group "yoga home", to living as a teacher doing the private lessons "yoga hustle", to owning an operating a chain of boutique yoga studios, to managing a 6 million dollar budget for Kripalu's Schools of Yoga and Ayurveda. In 2012, he co-wrote the book So You Want to Open a Yoga Studio a defacto business plan for hundreds of yoga studios around the world. As a consultant and public speaker he has offered business development and strategy to boutique yoga studios, national fitness chains like PURE Yoga and Exhale Spa, various technology companies that serve the wellness industry such as LiveEdit and MINDBODY, and major organizations like Yoga Alliance and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. Andrew keeps a finger on the pulse of the yoga, wellness, and technology worlds in order to be a steward for the industry.

We'll discuss individual tax strategies, the tax implications of different business formations, using bookkeepers, and how to live your life as a tax deduction.
About the teacher: Joshua Cooper is founder and president of Tax Lovin', an accounting company dedicated to educating clients about tax-related issues. He received his master's degree in accounting from the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida, and went on to become a CPA and founded several startup companies. Joshua has a passion for yoga and has implemented the concepts of balance and focus into his accounting practice. He has written several articles about the healthy ways to approach accounting, and teaches accounting techniques and seminars to business owners in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In this informative class, we'll discuss how to form business entities; contract with teachers, employees, students, web/ad consultants, business partners, and landlords; comply with labor, workers compensation, taxes, and consumer protection agencies; obtain insurance; and protect trademarks and trade secrets.
About the teachers: Karen Mozes is a successful entrepreneur, executive and life coach, and leadership expert. She brings to the world of transformational coaching, writing and public speaking her many years of dedicated studies and application in the fields of science, eastern philosophy, teaching and yoga. With several years of work experience in the corporate world and then as a principal at a sustainability consulting firm, Karen is uniquely suited to coach in business management, communication techniques and team leadership. Karen has created and successfully applied her own coaching programs, the Cinco Method (for entrepreneurs) and Team Climate Change (for design teams) across a wide range of sectors and company sizes. Karen is also the co-founder of the Business of Yoga LLC and its popular program, the Yoga Business Retreat.

He is a vibrant public speaker, musician, and successful yoga instructor who travels the globe training the conscious community to thrive in marketing, media, and business. Justin has spearheaded the marketing development and social media of over 150 brands, both large and small, including, Exhale Center for Sacred Movement, Sianna Sherman, Ashley Turner, Noah Mazé, and more. He is also the Co-Founder of the Business of Yoga, LLC and hosts Yoga Business Retreats around the world, helping yoga teachers flourish in business.
