Ana Forrest is an internationally renowned pioneer in yoga and healing. Her own trauma and life experiences have formed the foundation from which she created Forrest Yoga, a distinct approach of using yoga to address today's physical and emotional challenges with a highly developed understanding of the human body and psyche. Ana, who became a certified yoga instructor at the age of 18, has taught yoga for more than 35 years. She is an ordained practitioner of Native American medicine and has studied Polarity Therapy, acupressure, homeopathy, hands-on healing, martial arts, psychotherapy, and regression therapy. Healing Your Injuries Through Forrest Yoga

Alleviating your own pain is tremendously empowering. Come focus your healing energy using the breath into wherever you personally need it. Learn how to tailor your breath and poses to release pain and bring healing to an injured area. (We'll focus on common areas of injury: neck, shoulders, and back.) Discover the attitudes that are often part of the injury and how those attitudes may perpetuate it. By applying the tools of Forrest Yoga, pain and suffering can become optional!

What to bring: Water, a strap (at least 6'), a block, 2 mats (OR 1 mat and a large beach towel or blanket.)
The room will be heated. Mostly asana.


Gravity Surfing

Fascinated by weightlessness? Then ride the waves of gravity. Gravity surfing teaches you to change your relationship to gravity. No longer is gravity a drag, but a wave to ride! Come learn the fundamentals of liftoff, moving through the air with grace, and landing with precision and lightness. Ana will guide you through Forrest Yoga's core strengthening poses. Then you can apply them to the advanced technique of "surfing" from pose to pose. Unfold and explore a whole new world in your yoga. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**

Luminous Core

Go on a physical and mental journey deep into the core of your own being. You'll create a heightened sense of awareness through breath and asanas, and open to the amazing quality of feeling that lives inside of you. Use Forrest Yoga to connect to your core, shed what is no longer useful, keep what is of value, and " blow the rest away with a breath of kindness." Challenge and move your core energy into those areas where it has yet to be. Come sweat, breathe deeply, and enter the incredible mystery of your core. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed, and alive. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**

Tracking Transformation

What if you were able to track the process of transformation? This means becoming aware, during the actual process, of all the things that are happening to you during a transforming moment or time. Learn to create a heightened sense of awareness through breath and asanas to become aware of the quality of feeling that lives inside. Tracking what is happening in your yoga poses can be applied to tracking and guiding transformation in other parts of your life. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.2 CECs.**
