Then we'll turn our attention to backbending, learning basic anatomy of the spine and the importance of the shoulders, core, and leg strength as they relate to these poses. We'll explore all types of backbending--on our stomachs, on our knees, on our backs, and standing--and wind down with a series of forward folds and inversions to counter the effects of backbending and calm the body.
