This class includes information on pregnancy's physiological changes, posture modifications, therapeutics, and contraindications. Learn how to align, open, and strengthen your shoulders and hips. We'll explore pelvic alignment and deep hip openers that will leave you feeling spacious and calm; shoulder alignment and arm balances that will create a sense of strength and empowerment; and a well-rounded series of standing poses, twists, sidebends, and forward bends that will sensitize you to the subtle inner workings of your shoulders and hips.

Tracking Transformation

What if you were able to track the process of transformation? This means becoming aware of all the things that are happening to you during a transformative moment or time. Learn to create a heightened sense of awareness through breath and asanas. Tracking what is happening in your yoga poses can be applied to tracking and guiding transformation in other parts of your life.

What to bring: A strap, a block, and two mats (or one mat and one blanket to roll up.)

Insight Yoga: Integrating Yin and Yang Yoga with Mindfulness Meditation

Learn to view your practice from a teacher’s perspective as we explore the oppositional forces at play in each asana. Through partner work and observation, we’ll look at methods of creating a balance between these directions of energy flow in order to facilitate alignment from the inside out.

Open to all levels of practitioners from the full spectrum of yoga styles; one need not be a teacher to attend.
