There's a misconception that you must be hypermobile in order to backbend well. This workshop is here to prove that theory wrong! When done correctly, backbends are glorious poses that open the heart and the shoulders, and open the mind to ideas of what is possible. Come break down the basic alignment to keep your back happy in any backbend. We'll workshop the basics, along with postures that are rarely seen in flow classes, so we have a full menu to choose from when we want to dive into our hearts!

This class is a lighthearted exploration on our hands geared toward both fledglings of arm balances and inversions, as well as full-grown flyers. We'll explore the foundation of arm balancing, inverting the technicalities of leaving the ground on our hands and the playful mind-set needed to maintain the balance. Beginners will learn how to enter these poses; advanced practitioners will learn new entries and possibilities. Come with any questions and leave with a refreshed spirit and richer understanding of these amazing postures.
