Inversions, Pranayama, and Letting Go Instructor: Richard Freeman
The Shoulderstand and Headstand families of postures are keys and precursors to other forms of contemplative practice. Come work with the essential patterns of form and alignment necessary to practice these inversions safely and with ease so we can experience firsthand how they impact our pranayama and meditation practice.

+ Curling, Coiling, and Twisting in Wave Patterns
Curling, Coiling, and Twisting in Wave Patterns Instructor: Richard Freeman
Breath and body can learn to move together with continuous alignment, eventually manifesting in a natural movement into the central axis. When this happens, prana and apana naturally and organically interpenetrate all throughout the body. Working with the wave patterns of movement, we'll find paths of awareness that tap into the illuminating internal forms of the postures.

+ Square One, Touching Earth
Square One, Touching Earth Instructor: Richard Freeman
Ashtanga Yoga has a rigorous form and a subtle core. We'll experiment with the vinyasa of postures from the inside out. Tracing patterns of movement and form through continuous connection to the breath and internal lines of alignment, we'll play with the subtlety of Uddiyana Bandha and Mula Bandha, so that the legs and feet connect to the earth and the coccyx and kidneys become the sofa of Patanjali.

+ Postures on a Thread: Ashtanga Vinyasa Inside Out--Outside In
Postures on a Thread: Ashtanga Vinyasa Inside Out--Outside In Instructor: Richard Freeman
Explore details of the traditional Ashtanga vinyasa Primary Series to find awareness in its transitions and new alignment depth in old poses. Mindfulness of the breath will be used to bring the brilliant core of the central axis out through the forms of the postures. Through the continuous joining and separating of masculine and feminine movements in both the breathing patterns and the structures of the poses, fine detail becomes natural and easy. **This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 0.1 CECs.**
