David Nichtern, a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, is director of Buddhist Studies and Practice at OM Yoga Center. He and his wife, Cyndi Lee, lead retreats worldwide and are cocreators of the OM Yoga & Meditation Workshop DVD. A Grammy and Emmy Award–winning musician, David is the founder of Dharma Moon Records and the world fusion band Drala.
