Come on an exploration of the yogic quality of sattva (clarity and illumination). The balance of effort, surrender, and relaxation brings us into a sattvic state— a state of deep peace and benevolence of spirit. We’ll explore sattva in forward bends, from the simplest to the most challenging. Students should have at least one year of experience. Mostly asana.

Yoga includes a wide variety of tools to help heal psychological and emotional problems. Come explore how asana, breathing practices, and chanting can help treat anxiety, depression, anger, and feelings of emptiness; we’ll also discuss how to integrate yoga into a broader holistic framework. Bring a block and two or three blankets.
