Michelle Synnestvedt is a Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor and Director of the first Anusara yoga school in Pennsylvania -Prasad Yoga. She has been a student of yoga since 1990 and dedicated to Anusara since in 1998. On top of being on the Anusara Certification Committee, Michelle offers Retreats, Teacher Trainings, Immersions , and Workshops, as well as weekly classes both locally and more recently nationally. She is known for her deep love of yogic philosophy, chanting, humor, and heart centered dynamic asana. She has been a therapeutic massage practitioner in private practice since 1994 and specializes in injury rehabilitation where she uses her deep understanding of the Anusara Alignment Principles to help clients connect back into a place of healing. She is eternally grateful for her beloved teachers John Friend, Douglas Brooks and Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.

Yet receiving the gift of our own experience in the form of our bodies, minds, and hearts can be deeply challenging, especially when we are injured or in pain. In this therapeutic class, we'll learn how to properly align and open the hip flexors, particularly the psoas.
