nakon Steve Nakon is the founder of Northwest Yoga and the director of the yoga and the meditation programs at the Chicago Botanic Garden. He created the Meditation in the Garden series of classes, which highlights our connection to nature and the environment. Steve finds inspiration in the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar.

Explore the relationship between dynamic movement and radiant stillness. Practicing movement into and out of postures and holding postures guided by the breath, we gain awareness of the body in a whole new way. By incorporating standing, seated, and reclining postures in vinyasa krama form, learn how to prepare the body for the experience of union (yoga). Mostly asana.
