New this Year!
Like a yoga practice, we are constantly evolving. This year, we are pleased to announce a
roster of brand-new events such as restorative and Yin Yoga classes after work on Friday
and free community classes over the weekend. We're also proud to offer two new tracks to
give you more choices than ever before: Our Ashtanga track allows those familiar with the
primary series to study in depth with today's Ashtanga's masters; it also includes morning
Mysore sessions. And our new track for teachers, Continue Your Education, allows yoga
teachers and teachers in training to choose from dozens of classes according to the topics
and styles that interest them most.
All Day Intensives | Half-Day Intensives | Collaborative Intensives | Evening Classes
Instructor: Michael Franti, Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini Friday, January 16 7:00pm-9:00pm: Friday Evening Class Code: EVNDEM All Levels
Move, dance, and sing in the spirit of peace! Meet and greet yourself in a vinyasa-style class led by Nicki and Eddie that starts and ends with the uplifting music of Michael Franti. On our mats, we'll focus our breath to raise the vibrational quality of peace and work to spread our light and extend it to where it's needed the most.
Instructor: Cyndi Lee Friday, January 16 6:30pm-8:00pm: Friday Evening Class Code: EVCLEE All levels, Contemplative
We are like a sponge: When we get squeezed, whatever we have practiced comes out. So why not practice lovingkindness? Maitri is the practice of cultivating unconditional friendliness to all beings everywhere. After engaging in this powerful practice, we'll tuck the intention of lovingkindness into a mini-backbending practice based on resting in open space. Meditation and asana.
Instructor: Sarah Powers Friday, January 16 6:30pm-8:00pm: Friday Evening Class Code: EVSPOW All levels
Yin Yoga, which consists of passive postures held for lengthy amounts of time, is an essential complement to the more active styles of yoga. It keeps the body supple at its core, while encouraging stagnate chi (prana) to flow throughout the joints and meridians, restoring and revitalizing the organ system. Suitable for anyone interested in taking their practice to an increased level of awareness and stillness, both inside and out. Mostly asana.
Instructor: Cora Wen
Friday, January 16 6:30pm-8:00pm: Friday Evening Class Code: EVCWEN All levels
Stress and anxiety can create chronic pain and disease, and affects every part of the body. Yoga rejuvenates and heals through deep relaxation, which encourages us to let go of tension. You will experience long-lasting benefits in just one session! Bring a strap and two blankets or something to sit on.
Cora Wen's flowing practice combines a safe, energetic way to explore subtle alignment and enliven the body. She has taught yoga since 1996, assists Judith Hanson Lasater, and apprenticed with Rodney Yee. She is an Advanced Relax and Renew restorative yoga trainer and is a dedicated Buddhist.
