Your cultural upbringing may tell you that you need to control others in order to be happy, healthy, or sexy, but your yoga practice recommends being kind to others. Which path will you choose? This workshop is for people who are interested in transformation into a radical cultural hero rather than mere change. The word radical derives from rad, meaning root. A radical person is someone who digs to the root of a situation. We'll explore radical yogic methods, focusing on asana practice that will enable you to become spiritually activated on the mat to become politically active off of it. Bring a blanket. Explore the dynamic equilibrium of the skull in yoga, meditation, and asana practice. We'll discuss the jaw, tongue, inner ear, sagittal suture, and fontanelles, and will examine their importance in releasing cranial compression. We'll review conditions such as migraine headaches, insomnia, and TMJ, which can be caused by cranial compression. Includes inversions, forward bends, and twists. Learn how basic self-defense, asana adjustments, and Thai massage therapy come together to form one sacred healing form. Genki is a special word in Japanese formed by the roots gen (source) and ki (power). Activating our Source Power is the answer to how we can integrate all aspects of organic core movement. Mostly asana and massage, with dynamic and static contact exercises.
