Your cultural upbringing may tell you that you need to control others in order to be happy, healthy, or sexy, but your yoga practice recommends being kind to others. Which path will you choose? This workshop is for people who are interested in transformation into a radical cultural hero rather than mere change. The word radical derives from rad, meaning root. A radical person is someone who digs to the root of a situation. We'll explore radical yogic methods, focusing on asana practice that will enable you to become spiritually activated on the mat to become politically active off of it. Bring a blanket. Discussion and asana.
Instructor: David Life Saturday, January 17 8:00am-10:00am: Session 1 Code: M1LIFE Intermediate
Clinging to fear and depression can actually prevent yoga's beneficial effects. But turning our experience of the world upside down allows us to overcome fear and depression. We'll practice vigorous vinyasa warm-ups and arm balances, preparing ourselves to focus on several potent inversions that will give us the vision of an upsidedown world turned right-side up. Mostly asana.

The basis for life on Earth is DNA; the double helix of DNA strands intertwines like ida and pingala nadis. When we harmonize our bodies with this internal spiral code, we reach a new level of understanding about our connection to all of life. Twists can help detoxify the colon, internal organs, and lymphatic system, thus helping to reverse the effects of deadly consumeritis. Mostly asana.
